Senior Thesis - Camp Gaia

"Camp Gaia" is a fictional business created for a senior thesis at Florida Southern College. The assignment requirements included branding and designing business cards, logos, websites, flyers, and more. The owner of Sparkman Designs had the honor of receiving first place.

The name of this business is inspired by Gaia, the Goddess of Mother Earth in Greek mythology. Gaia, or Gaea in Greek, represents the personification of the Earth and is considered the ancestral mother of all life. Camp Gaia’s logo is designed in the form of a patch, symbolizing the accomplishments achieved by the campers.

The mission of Camp Gaia is to empower girls to become their best selves, nurturing kind hearts, fierce minds, and brave spirits. After a girl completes her first year at Camp Gaia, she will receive the logo as part of her Camp Goddess series.

The title of the logo is presented in a cursive, textured font to convey femininity, while the slogan “Not Just a Place, But a Place in Your Heart” is crafted in a bold sans-serif font to emphasize the camp’s focus on empowerment.

Hendersonville is known as the “City of Four Seasons,” a concept that is blended with Greek mythology through the four elements: water, air, earth, and fire. These elements are reflected in the camp activities, which include water sports, archery, mountaineering, and campfires.

Revival Lakeland's Cocktail Bar

Revival is a craft cocktail bar that emphasizes inventive drinks, quality service, and a non-smoking environment. The bar's aesthetic is inspired by 1920s speakeasies. For its branding, Revival primarily uses a sans-serif font in either black or gold. The design focuses mainly on photography.

Photography

To the right are photographs that were created for Revival when it was initially planned as a speakeasy. For these images, Sparkman Designs utilized handmade beverages, props, Adobe Bridge, and Adobe Photoshop.
